I don't know if there was any cause and effect, but on two separate occasions, after putting redline in my O/D tranny, the O/D died. After the second one, I replaced it with a Ford 5 speed conversion. Anyways, be very careful that the oil you put in a tranny is not too slippery for the O/D. -- Software that holds your hand is one thing, software that holds your hand and won't let go is really, really annoying.
