Well, Clausager says -
"The first MGB interior trim scheme was characterized by the use of
contrast-piping for the leather seats....."
- certainly implying that leather was standard. Later, he states -
"It was again all change for the 1970 model year with leather upholstery
replaced by Ambla..."
Also, leather was not mentioned in his chapter on Optional equipment....
