Quiet Horn

The horn on my 71 MGB works intermittently.  Sometimes it works fine and other 
times it sounds like someone turned the volume down to the lowest level.  
Barely audible.  It does not usually bother me, but last night I would have 
liked to use it to convey my feelings to another driver.
 
Any advice on where to start looking?
