  Here's the thing for me,

    If I wanted a rice rocket I'd buy one.  If I swapped my MGB's engine 
out for something else it would no longer have that "character" that 
endears it  to me.  Anyway, I built that engine and expect it to outlast 
me!

   But getting to your point; If you can find a mild V6 that briskly 
moved a 3600 lb car, It will more than briskly move a light sporty car. 
   It will even do it on regular gas! ;^)
