MG Valve cover

hi, all.

i have a 73 cbb roadster.

the dpo painted the valve cover silver!!!

i've stripped it, and am ready to paint it black.  hmm.  wasn't that a
song???

anyway, is it just a gloss black?  what's the recommended paint, preferably
an off the shelf spray can?
