Tube shocks on MGC

First attempt with the tube shocks resulted in a really stiff ride. I think I
need to adjust the mounting point at the top where it attaches to the body.
There is another mounting point that will give the shock more travel, which
should soften it up. I hope (-:  Anyone have experience with this? The
mounting plates are not marked, so they must be generic to either side.
