There already exists something to do this (and I use it!)
Filter on the Sender: header
All mailing lists should already be doing this, it is rather nice.
For example, ALL messages from the MG mailing list will have a sender
header that looks like
"Sender: owner-mgs@autox.team.net"
(without the quotes).
Since it is a header that is exclusive to mailing list software, and
not mangled by Replies etc... it is a much better way to go.
