key code for 71 mgb?

I seem to remember mention of persons sending the #
code on our keys and getting a key made.
     My MGA has the code easily readable on the key
switch.
    Is this code anywhere  on my 71 MGB?  There is a
number on the round part that went against the
steering column.
If that's the number, who do I contact to see if they
can make a key?
