Ahhhh... the sweet sound of addiction. It warms the
heart.
The good news is, you pretty much already HAVE a
vintage racer! Maybe not a terribly competitive one,
but who really cares? It was fun to drive out there,
wasn't it? The beauty of vintage racing is that with
a legal roll bar and some other fairly simple safety
equipment, a couple weekends spent at the various
schools you'll need to take to get a rookie license,
and a well kept and relatively stock MGB, you're ready
to go vintage racing.
Contact me offline if you have any questions about my
personal MGB vintage racing project, or see
www.sopwithracing.com. I have a TON of the research
done already, which I enjoy but some people find kind
of a PITA. But if you're serious about building a
vintage racer, I say go for it. I'm not a gifted
mechanic and I'm not rich, so if I can do it, ANYONE
can...
All the best,
=====
