This is a very good question, and I was hoping someone would come up with a
good answer.
The factory had two different part numbers, but there is no indication why,
or when there was a change. The standard response has always been to
measure what came out. Yep, I know REAL helpful. There are a lot of
answers like that with these cars.
Here is my fabulously informative answer. Order the short one, because that
is what is usually found in the crank. If you find the crank bore is
slightly worn (it can happen) the short one will be a loose fit. In which
case the long one may give a better bite. Jam it in as far as it will go
and trim the end flush.

It seems Moss lists two bushings for a 5 main engine,
