Hmm, I don't know about generic replacement heater cables. The reason they
are solid is because they have to push, as well as pull. What makes you
think you want to replace them?
And good luck getting that heater assembly back together. I've done it on a
69, and it's even more of a b***h than on a 66 -- less room behind the dash
to work. Personally, knowing what I know, I would have masked off the heater
box and left it in place (unless I had reason to suspect the core was going
bad).
