If you want to spend a few dollars, a supercharger (like this one 
http://www.hi-flow.com/super_mgb.html) is supposed to be nice.  Someone was 
selling some go-fast products on eBay recently; you could check there, but I 
wouldn't think that dose would work as well as a real supercharger.

Bolting in a V8 should also do the trick.
