Andrew,
Good to hear from you. You have the same year MGB & Miata as I if I
remember correctly. I was just curious. You know, the 1.8L Miata is a
bit faster than the stock MG V-8 (like .3 seconds 0-60). With the Miata
engine you have a few more options for "souping it up" with the Turbos &
superchargers.
I am satisfied with my stock 1.8L MGB, but I thought it was interesting
if people were putting Miata engines in the MGB... I view the two cars
as similar in more than a few ways... The MGB was, and the Miata is, the
underdog of the sports car world, and yet both cars are fine examples of
the classic sports car (in their time), both are the only ones to sell
over 500,000 units and both were on the 100 Best Cars of the Century list.
