I believe I was in touch with the original designer of this kit back
in the 80s. The concept was pretty good, and the workmanship excellent.
The company I worked for ended up selling them a bunch of used MGB front
X-members. The kit car company supplied the chassis with the x-member
welded in, similar to the original TF.
At the time I was interested in the kit, as I wanted to build a
Special based on MG components. The lighter fiberglass TF kit looked like an
interesting basis for a fast sports car.
No idea about the current company, or quality of the kits now.
