Steve,
Congratulations and Good Luck with your new purchase. A lot of us have
been in your "New to you MG shoes" and know the feeling of anticipation.
As far as driving the car home, I suggest driving the car around several
blocks close to the shop your buying it from until it is good and warm and
check under the hood several times for anything that may need some
attention. After you build your confidence up head for home, preferably
with your wife in her back up car and cell phone( just in case). These cars
are meant to be driven so don't worry about the RPMs, its your car so shift
when it feels right to you.
And a good dealer/shop should give you some type of warrantee ( in
writing ) on things that may go wrong.
Good Luck, Mark
