1) AFAIK all MGBs have the same front bearings (conical roller).
2) These bearings require proper endplay adjustment, using shims (unless
by some coincidence the proper endplay is achieved using a shim pack of
.000", which is not impossible). It isn't so much the bearing design
which requires shimming (many other vehicles don't), but the design of
the rest of the hub, if that makes sense.
3) Occasionally you will find a situation where the DPO has omitted not
only the shims, but the spacer (odd conical tube-like object). This is
Not a Good Thing. Track one down and set it up correctly (or else!).
