Hay Barney, Just to throw more confusion in: the rise time of the voltage pulse at the plug partly determines the voltage at which the plug will fire as does the internal cylinder pressure at the time the pulse hits the plug. Also, as someone else stated, the condition of the secondary ignition components gets in the act, too. If the system loses energy in any form there's less to fire the plug. CR |
