Eric; FWIW I would go with the information which gave coil resistance specs and determine if a ballast resistor is required for your particular coil. This is the answer that accounts for conflicting experiences of those currently using the petronix. Bear in mind that this is the opinion of a person who intends to stay with the breaker points.
