Hi folks,
On Monday I plan to drive the '77B from home (Plymouth, Mass.) to DC
(actually, to Gaithersburg, MD). Will be returning on Friday. At the moment I
plan to leave here early Monday (about 5am) and head down I95 to I287, go across
the Tappan Zee Bridge and down the Garden State Parkway to pick up the NJ
Turnpike.
I'll pick up US301 by Wilmington and take it thru Annapolis to pick up US50 to
I495 around DC. Hope to arrive at NIST (National Institute of Standards and
Technology) in Gaithersburg around 3:30 or 4pm. Plan to reverse the procedure
on Friday, leaving NIST about 11-12am.
I'd sure appreciate any listers' warnings or suggestions about the route. If
anyone spots a reddish-orange (Vermillion?) 77 roadster with the top down being
driven by an OF just beep or wave. I promise that I'll wave back. Charging the
cell phone right now and making sure I've got drded's phone number in my book,
but hope I don't need it. TIA.
