Alan,
I was born and have grown up in Glendale, CA (15 miles north of Los Angeles).
My 1977 MGB is the one and only car I have owned. Driving in heavy LA
traffic certainly humbles even the most hardened veteran driver. I have
learned many lessons riding bicycles, motorcycles, and LBC's in heavy traffic
that they never teach you in driver's ed. Number 1 on that list is DO NOT
EXPECT TO BE SEEN, EVER! (As other's on this list can attest, this has been
proven time and again!) Other than that, I drive with a steady hand, stay
out of blind spots, and drive defensively. I have also driven in the
American North West, and learned to drive with my lights on in most
situations (every little bit helps!)
Can anybody else offer safe driving tips or good emergency procedures for
LBC's?
