Hi Larry: I ran a GT3 car in the mid '80's . We used a Supertrap disc style
muffler. A two inch pipe and supertrap would be about right for a 1800, I
would think. I didn't have many problems with noise, until we installed a
engine with 15-1 compression. If you install a full length pipe to the rear,
purchase a 90 degree bend,too clamp onto the tailpipe. Check out where the
decibel meters are placed and point the bend away from them.
