towing an 80 mgb

Hi folks,
Recently finished refurbishing an 80 MGB and am thinking about towing it 
behind our motorhome on jaunts in the Northwest. (Thought it would be a 
lot more fun than a Ford Escort). I've heard that one of the bearings in 
the transmission won't be properly lubricated. Anyone know for sure if 
that is true ? I would really like to just use a tow bar if that can be 
done. Thanks in advance.
