I finally tore my Marina engine down. Just have to hone, clean and
reassemble it. The rings are AE and the fitted gap is good.
My concern now is: how can I hone the cylinders and wash out the residue
without getting grit and debris onto the crankshaft and around the main
bearings? I was pleasantly surprised at how easily the engine was
dismantled and the pistons removed. It took about 3 hours so far. If I had
removed the engine I'd have spent considerable more time athough I wouldn't
have the above question and I would be able to renew the main bearings also.
