Alternators

I know this topic keeps getting stumbled over, but I am in need of a new 
alternator and am wondering what to get.
I know i could flap out the $130 to Moss and get the Factory 18ACR for 
the 77B, but something tells me to wait and see.

I have heard the Bosch alts from the Ford Fiesta is bolt in replacement 
offering a cheaper price and higher output and that the AC-Delco will 
need some mods, but will give me 55amps and cost $30.

What does the list think?
