I met its new owner a few weeks after that advert. He turned up in it at
a MG meeting. He paid about £500 less than the asking price, and it has
a 1798cc single carb Morris Marina engine fitted, with an unleaded head.
The sills had been renewed, but did not fit very well, you could see the
ripples where someone had 'bent' them in at the bottom. Otherwise the
car was very tidy.
