Clausager specifically states, for the Jubilee model, that the plaques were 
supllied to 
dealers *off* the car so the original owners name could be engraved on it.  He 
also says 
that the numbers were only found on the plaques and not recorded at the 
factory.  Since 
he does not mention that the North American LE plaques were numbered (neither 
whether 
they were supplied to dealers attached or not) it is unlikely that BMIHT would 
have 
recorded any numbers for these.  Were Canadian cars imported through a single 
concession 
then distributed to dealers?  If so perhaps it was the Canadian concession that 
had the 
plaques engraved.
