I agree with you completely.  Although I use my title professionally
(psychologist clinician), I _never_ use it socially, and to my mind this list
is a social group.  Incidentally, an MD/PhD doesn't necessarily indicate
expertise in _anything_.  I've known some colossal jerks with doctorates.
