RE: Fluctuating oil pressure

I had that problem a while back, but only at a point as the oil was
approaching operating temperature.  It never fluctuated into the low
pressure zone.  This rapid fluctuation went away when the engine fully
warmed up.  This was a newly rebuilt engine, with a new pump.  The nearest
I could tell, it was some hesitation in the opening of the oil cooler
thermostat valve I had installed.  Just a guess, but haven't had any
further problem.
