I did the same thing with my GT a couple of years back, left the keys in
while I went to a staff meeting for 30 minutes or so.
A couple of punks decided to go joy riding. They managed to get the car
out of the lot, but because it was a cold day, they couldn't get it to
run long enough to get away. (Obviously their previous thefts were cars
that had automatic chokes). They managed to get to the bottom of the
hill. The GT refused to go any further. They got away with a set of $4.95
El Cheapo sockets.
The cops? They said that if I heard anything about who might have done
it, to give them a call.
