Hello Bob, I did send you a reply directly to your email ID but it seems
you did not get it. So here it goes again, thankfully I still had a
backup copy of the sent email.
Bob, a lot of things are possible. Under given circumstances your point
is well taken. Among the variables, cheap gasoline could very well
provoke carbon build up. Or even a car which is driven miles on end with
bad plugs, points, ect. It also depends on the car's current
technology.
Modern fuel injected engines with high output electronic ignition,
using good quality gas, would much less likely carbon up then the older
carburated and pointed distributors. As some friends here reminded me,
driving style is a big factor. Maybe LBCs are not meant to be idled and
driven at low RPMs. As a new comer to British high performance cars
I'll just have to keep in mind they were designed to be driven hard or
nothing at all :-)
