Ok, thanks everyone! :)=20
Now, does anyone know a good shop in the Louisville, KY area? I KNOW =
there aren't any clubs around here...(seen those complaints from others)
Indy and Cincy are about 2 hour drives, but it would be worth =
it...maybe, depending on exactly how good!=20
Mind you, I haven't even bought the thing (car, that is)yet, but I'm =
asking because the nice cars I've seen need it or will need it soon, and =
for the edification of those that don't ask, too.
BTW, any comments on Vicky Brits' philosophy of first Brakes, then =
Electric, Fuel, cooling system...etc.???
TIA
Dan

Never done it before? Tools available? Shop Manual? Learning by doing =
is good. Rough times....Assuming you are doing it by yourself, and you =
aren't in a rush. 6-8 hours to pull it. Half of that with a =
friend/wrench turner. Someone works up top, some one below. Machine =
shop...big variables!!!! Big shop? One guy does heads, another cranks, =
another blocks/ Are you getting it balanced? Recommended!!!!! 2-3 =
days minimum. I wouldn't rush them. A week would be average. You will =
need parts. Some parts can't be ordered until the machine shop has the =
engine, i.e. bearings..what size? So two weeks would not be =
unreasonable.

Also, remember, this is your car. You will take more care than someone =
else. Care is good. Care is slow!
