I guess Vicki forgot to say that we live near Picton, Ontario, Canada...
and today the CDN $ is about 70cents, US funds, so the $3,000 for
mechanical would probably be about 2100 US. (The shop, Long Run Imports,
charges about $45 CDN/ hour) and is highly regarded by import owners,
especially Jags, Bentleys, RR's and the flottila of sports car owners in
this area.

We are both mightily impressed with the enthusiastic response we have had
from this link-site... as our search continues for the MG of our dreams I
took time today to look at an '81 Mercedes Benz 300TD station wagon... any
(polite) comments? anyone able to tell me about the possible mileage I
could expect from this deisel?

Thanks..

David
