"Spit out"? I don't think so. I've had my car whacked hard a few times
while I was inside, and I never got hurt (knock on wood). But just today
I got news that a neighbor of mine was in an accident a few weeks ago,
was thrown from the car, got a nasty bump on his head, and has been in a
coma ever since.
