That's ~~exactly~~ what they do here in Texas! No kidding. Especially
around San Antonio.
I looked at an MGA about 6 months ago that the owner wanted $5000 for. The
body was POOR at best. Sure, it had a new Gold Seal engine, with the
original engine sitting in the corner. New wire wheels. New tires. Etc.
The car had been sitting for 25 years!! Rust in the dog legs was
incredible. Interiour is shot.
Owner said $5k was the least he'd take for the car. It apparently didn't
sell. It's advertised in the AMGA newsletter again: $11,500! I want some
of what he's takin'!! ... must be some kind of pink pills so DCO can see
life through rose-coloured glasses...!
