Don't get me wrong, I don't dislike WD-40, in fact I sometimes think I
use it by the case full.
Rather what I should have made clearer is that for all it's attributes,
WD-40 is a lousy penetrant. For just those things such as frozen
advances, rusty bolts, etc, you need a good penetrating oil. I always
keep a can (or 3) in the shop. At the moment, my supply is that made by
Gunk, but I'm not predjudiced, I'll use which ever of the major brands is
handy at the time.
