I do. Well, not really, but I have often seen the weight quoted
specifically with two gallons of gas in the tank. Presume because that's
the way the factory shipped them.
FWIW, the MGA factory workshop manual says for the MGA:
"Weight: fully equipped with tools, spare wheel, oil, water, and 2
gallons of fuel (2.5 U.S. gal., 9.1 liters) ............... 1,988 lb.
(901.81 kg.)"
The early MGBs were about a hundred pounds less for a hundred Pounds more
money.
