Sorry to spoil the MG-Fergurson fun. But are you sure it's an MG engine? I would have thought it to be a common old Austin/Morris )BMC) unit. True the same basic block but not an MG mod in sight. It would be like calling my dad's old A60 an MG Magnette (remember them with the fins) there's a good turn out at the UK shows.
