I have an OD in my '72. You should be able to check it by turning on the ignition (not starting the car) putting the car in 3rd or 4th and having someone flip the swtich while you lay under the car. You should hear an audible click when it engages. If not then pull off the solenoid cover and remove the magnetic coil and piston and check them for carbon buildup etc. good luck Chad '72B |
