Dave -

Swarf IS burring. More specifically, loose burrs, shavings, and other metal
and dirt bits.

Not from England, but I lived there in the 80's. Even restored a J2 there.

I'm sorry I got everyone so excited about the overdrives my friend HAD!
Seems
in less than a week all 5 are gone!

P.S.
A non related question to netters "across the pond" What does the term
"swarf" mean? Reading some instructions on installing a sunroof and it says
"
...care must be taken to remove any swarf from the body. At first I thought
it was burrs (rough edges on metal but I believe that to be "fraze" in
England?

Any help?
