Well, now that you mention it, my MGB is running very happily with it's
geeenuuuine Nissan (Datsun), rocker shaft and rockers. I ordered the
rocker shaft (for my MGB )through a friend of mine (who owns a garage)
from his part supplier when I was rebuilding my head, and it arrived in
a genuine Nissan package. So we went to his computer and sure enough the
rocker shaft had the same (supplier) part number for both the MGB and
Nissan B18 ? or B1800 ? truck. The rockers for this truck (genine
Nissan) were a fraction of the cost of the MGB ones so we ordered them in
on the off chance they whould be the same. Well they were (actually
they had been strengthed in a couple of spots), so I used them instead
of getting my old ones rebushed (it was cheaper).
Suposedly Nissan had bought the engine design from BMC or B(ps)L so the
parts were basically the same. I don't know of any other parts that fit
but I would be interested in finding out.
