Jay - you and I had an unfinished conversation about this not too long ago.
It now seems I vaguely remember something about the instructions in the
owner's manual that presumes the top is not glued to the rearmost top-frame
rail (the one just over the rear window. But on all Bs I've owned - except
the first ('78) - the top is always glued to that rail. I even "unglued"
one or two just so I could fold it as per the manual, but now I've given
up. But I *thought* I was already doing it the way you describe (??).
Can anybody on the net clarify this? Is the top supposed to be glued to
that back rail?
