This is what I'd like to see happen. Some central hub for all the info
about conversions. As it is, the info is scattered in a half dozen places
on the interweb, and it's not that easy to search for it. I think if we can
all combine efforts, we could come up with a very nice solution.

Yes you are very correct. I am thinking we could even have a forum/message
board. Heck to be honest I would have no problems sharing my site, domain,
etc with him and combine the effort..
