Use a piece of 1 1/2" stainless pipe in the middle of the hose connected
with hose clamps. The smaller O.D. will provide the clearance.

I am using a D&D radiator and swivel oil filter
adapter on a 78B and having trouble with the swivel
filter adapter rubbing on the lower radiator hose. I
had rigged up a shield several years ago, which worked
fine for the last few years. Was looking it over
closely tonight and noticed that the swivel filter
adapter has rubbed through the shield and just about
through the hose. What is the trick in getting the
lower hose through this tight spot?
