All,
I just installed a Bosch alternator on my engine, and I noticed that
the pulley (v-belt) sits about 1/8" or 3/16" to the rear of the water
pump pulley and crank pulley. Can anyone tell me what is an acceptable
mis-allignment between pulleys? I appreciate that it is really a
question of angle, and therefore relative to the distance between pullies.

p.s. Also, it looks like the front pulley on the Bosch may be
adjustable, as it has a jam nut on both sides of it holding it to the
shaft. Before I take it apart, does anyone know this to be true?

Thanks.
James J.
