James,

I'm confused. Are you going to be running a FORD or a ROVER engine?

I recently rebuild a FORD AOD (used in my Ford Bronco) and thought that it
was a well buillt unit.
I especially like the way the over-drive works. It drives directly through
a shaft that attaches to the back of the torque convertor, thus bypassing
the torque converter in overdrive.

The AOD-E is also good, but then you have to deal with sometype of
electronic unit to control its shifting.

Regards,
Jim B.
