On all models (i.e. both 6v and 12v coils) you should get very nearly
battery voltage. How much battery voltage you get will depend on the
condition of your battery and the load upon it, and how much difference you
get between battery voltage and coil voltage depends on the soundness of the
connection in your heavy current and ignition circuits.
