Be careful. I live outside Washington, DC, Early this year I purchased a
perfectly good OD trans from someone in Pittsburgh. The trans weighed 114 lbs
and cost about $50 to ship. It was packed very well but somehow UPS managed
to drop it. They broke a 3" chunk out of the bell housing where the starter
mounts. All worked out OK for me after 3 months of phone calls. I paid $500
for the trans and it was insured for that amount. I was able to keep the
trans and got my money back. Anyway double the packing on both ends and make
sure it is insured. If any one wants an OD Trans make me an offer. Its still
in the UPS approved packing.
