I saw an interesting MG-V8 today. It belongs to Tim McCracken of the
local MG car club here in Kansas City. An interesting list of
particulars (keep in mind that this guy owns a garage that works on BMWs
and Volvos).

4.2 Rover with polished and flowed heads running SB Chevy valves and
seats.

Offenhauser manifold and Edlebrock four barrel.

Mallory over an HEI distributor.

Through the fenderwell custom headers with equal length tubes meeting
under the frame rails.

Buick flywheel housing redrilled to accept a BMW M3 five-speed which has
an external shifter that was re-routed to poke through in the standard
location.

The standard flywheel was drilled to accept a BMW clutch but the
standard 'B' clutch slave and pushrod was employed.

Rubber-bumper unibody with chrome bumper crossmember running negative
camber upper arms. Volvo vented and drilled front rotor running 4-pot
ABS Volvo calipers that are a 'bolt-on' for the 'B' spindle.

Out back he is running a Dana 44 rear axle from a Volvo that also
provides rear disk brakes. The master cylinder was swapped to support
four-wheel discs from a Mercedes Benz. The M/C was pointing towards the
front and the standard 'B' clutch master was pointing rearwards.

The car is painted a bright yellow/green with plans on raping an old
Plymouth 'Super Bee' decal for graphics. The hood was humped by grafting
on the bulge from a Mitsubishi Eclipse.

No bumpers. The front valance was redone to fit flush on the front. The
rear had Vicky 'B's fiberglass valance molded in.

Slight flare in the rear to accommodate 5-bolt, 16-inch wheels running
225/50 BFG-ZRs. With bolt pattern from the Volvo, wheel selection can
run the gamut from Ferrari to late-model Mustang.

More than just a little aggressive looking.

I want one.
