On my '52 is it attached directly to the cowl. The strip stops just short
of the bracket. I would think that if the bracket were on top of the strip
it would raise the bonnet out of alignment at that center point.

Subject: [Mg-t] MG TD hood attachment
I am installing the hood on my MG TD. Does the rubber strip between the
bonnet and cowl need to be cut away to have the rear bracket attach directly
to the cowl? Or does the bracket set on top of the rubber strip? Also has
anyone tried attaching the strip with 3M adhesive or does it have to be
nailed or stapled to the cowl wood?
Thanks
Al
