Gene,
I understand the paint issue with Stu's car because he painted it in the 
original nitrocellulose type lacquer provided by William Wolf in Ohio.  
It may be beneficial to paint the radiator slats with another type of 
paint that could be purchased locally.  I don't recall for sure, but I 
think that his car is red with a red interior, so the slats would be 
body color.
